What is FairBear? I’ve never heard of it
FairBear is a unique application, created for the parental control, which can help parents not only to restrict the game time or the time of using internet, but also let them earn extra time by solving educational and developing tasks and parental tasks, as well
How to use the application?
Just install FairBear on your mobile phone or pad, working on android, used by your child, activate the kid mode and let your kid play and educate. You are able to change settings and regulations of the mode via:
  • particular FairBear application on your own phone/pad
  • your child’s device, exiting the kid mode beforehand
  • the site fairbear.com
What devices FairBear can be installed on?
To switch device into kid mode FairBear requires a phone or tablet with Android version 4.1 and above. Parents can use iOS device for remote configuration of children's devices.
I can't find some app features described on the site
Today customers can use demo-version of the app, which contains basic functions only, absolutely free. If you haven’t donate the project on Kickstarter, the full set of functions will be able to you just after the release of the application in the first quarter of 2017. New functions and activities will be added gradually one by one, according to their readiness for testing, for those, who helped FairBear on Kickstarter.
I can’t call my child. Is it caused by using FairBear?
No, FairBear is not responsible for that, as demo-version of the app doesn’t contain the call restriction function.
I can’t see some children's apps using kid mode, where are they?
Probably they’ve got in the list of the prohibited apps. To remove the restrictions You can press the avatar in your child’s card and then select “Manage app” in the appeared menu, find the app needed and transfer it in the group “Fun”.
Is it possible to make some apps work all the time?
Yes. All applications in the group “Exceptions” are able for kids in the kid mode notwithstanding have your child play time or not. To add apps in the group “Exceptions” You can press the avatar in your child’s card and then select “Manage app” in the appeared menu, find the app needed and transfer it into the group “Exceptions”.
How can I restrict installation of new games and apps?
Just forbid Google Play (by moving it to “Forbidden” group) and your kid won't be able to install new apps and games!
Kid mode doesn’t work in my device. What's wrong?
At the moment kid mode works on every Android device with the version 4.2 and above. If your device possesses the needed version and You can’t enter the kids mode, please contact us.
The app requires additional permissions for kid-mode enter, why?
Extra permissions are required to guarantee that a child won’t be able to exit the kid-mode and will follow the rules set by the parents. These permissions should be granted on every device where kid-mode is supposed to run. Good news - this should be done just once!
I have two children, can I use FairBear for each one?
Of course! Parents can create as many profiles as they wish. Kids can switch between profiles while in kid-mode and even protect their profiles with passwords.
Can I punish my delinquent child by blocking its device?
Sure. Just for this purpose we’ve created the feature “Quick Rule”. Tap the button located in the lower-right corner of kid’s card, select duration of blocking and tap “Save”. Since that entertainments will be blocked during the specified time on all devices where FairBear is used by the child. You may not only ban the usage of device for your kid with the help of "Quick Rule" feature, but on the contrary provide your child with extra play time, free of trainers and other constraints.
Kid easily copes with trainers. How to adjust theirs difficulty?
Difficulty level is regulated automatically. Some trainers support manual configuration and the list of issued to the child tasks change. To change the settings of a trainer, press the child’s card on the main menu FairBear and choose “trainers”, afterwards push the gear icon located opposite the trainer needed.
The trainers installed were passed repeatedly by me. Where can I find more?
Demo-version of the app includes 10 trainers, each of which you are able to install from the trainer catalogue (section “trainers” in the side menu of the site/application). If you haven’t donate the project on Kickstarter, the full set of trainers will be able to you just after the release of the application in the first quarter of 2017.
